School Tours

Educational School Tours are available weekdays during October.

Come experience the sights, sounds and smells of life on the farm!
Join us for a tour out in the country and learn about the ABC's of farming!

Your class will enjoy a wide range of hands-on activities that will help them gain an understanding of farming and the important role that agriculture plays in all our lives.

Each group will be accompanied by one of our friendly and knowledgeable farm guides. Our tour provides students with firsthand knowledge of farming and ties it into the school curriculum appropriate for your class. Your students will also enjoy some down-on-the-farm fun!

All Farm Tours Include:

  • A friendly and knowledgeable guide
  • A wagon ride through our fields and along the scenic Niagara Escarpment.
  • An up-close look at life on the farm, from fields to furry friends!

Once again we are pleased to offer agricultural tour programs of our century farm to suit every age range.

JK:

  • Your little farmers will have a chance to make believe in the Machinery Shed where toy farm machinery is housed in sand tables filled with corn meal.
  • Our farm inspired playground is always a hit with our littlest visitors! Or they can jump 'til their hearts content amongst ten thousand balls in our Corn Bin.
  • Next Stop: a visit with our furry farm friends!

Sk & Grade 1:

  • How do pumpkins grow you ask? Our friendly guides happily discuss the life cycle of a pumpkin; including their basic needs and how they grow.
  • In the Machinery Shed learn about the farm machinery we use to till the soil & plant our crops.
  • Next Stop: The Spook Hut!

Grade 2 & Up:

  • The Pumpkin Patch is the place to be! Using the pumpkins as our example, your school guide takes the students through the life cycle of a plant (including germination, photosynthesis and pollination)
  • For some good ol' country fun, we'll stop at the Straw Fort or Spook Hut - where your class is sure to leave behind any excess energy!

Everyone Gets...
