About Us

School Tour c. 1959
In November 1887, Humphrey and Margaret Dyment purchased Glen Drummond Farm. Six generations of Dyments have called this spectacular property home. The family welcomes guests for weddings, corporate events, school tours and family fun weekends. Although agriculture was and still is the primary focus, historical notes tell us it has always been a mecca for folks to visit. The first recorded school tour was in 1959 and group events took place long before then.
The natural beauty of this historic farmland creates an unforgettable setting for celebrations. Weddings have been celebrated on this property for well over a century, with historical records dating back to the late 1800s. Under the Dyment family's ownership, the first known wedding ceremony took place in 1915, beginning a tradition of bringing loved ones together that continues to this day. Located on one of the highest and most scenic locations along the very edge of the Niagara Escarpment - overlooking Dundas, Hamilton and beyond - it is a magical place to visit. It's no wonder so many people decide to celebrate their love on this stunning property.

Our family welcomes you to the farm to celebrate special events, for pre-arranged groups from May to the end of October and for family-fun outings weekends in October. You can also visit our farm market - open annually from April (Good Friday) until the end of December for the best in fresh foods and delicious baked goods.
We take pride in the fact that three generations of the Dyment family continue to have a very active role at Glen Drummond Farm. The current generations are so grateful to those who came before us with their amazing foresight into what the farm might become. Their pride in its "specialness" is obvious to us in many things but particularly the fact that they invited others to share it, much as we do today.
A Farm for the Community
For generations, our family has believed that a farm should be more than just a place where food is grown - it should be a place where people gather, learn, and feel connected. We are proud to open our farm to the community as a welcoming space where families can celebrate milestones, children can experience agriculture firsthand, and visitors can reconnect with the land and the people who care for it.
Through school tours, seasonal festivals, weddings, community events, and our farm market, we strive to create meaningful experiences that bridge the gap between farmers and the communities they nourish.
Giving Back
We are grateful to be able to support our community. Over the years, we have donated more than $50,000+ to supporting cancer research and sick children support initiatives. We have proudly hosted community fundraisers such as Betty Day for United Way to raise money for local programs. Throughout the year, we also support charities through donations, food drives, and partnerships with organizations making a difference in our region.
Supporting Local
We're passionate about strengthening our local economy by providing opportunities for fellow farmers, food producers, and artisans to showcase their products. By creating meaningful partnerships, we help celebrate local talent while giving our guests access to the incredible food and craftsmanship our region has to offer.
Growing the Next Generation
As one of the area's seasonal employers, we're proud to create jobs for members of our community, with many local students gaining their very first work experience on our farm. Whether we're mentoring young employees, welcoming school groups to learn about agriculture, supporting local causes, or opening our gates for families to gather, our goal remains the same: to ensure our farm continues to be a place where community grows alongside the crops.
